Our Story..

It all started when my son came to me in pain and showed me his feet and to my disbelief they were bleeding in-between his toes, he was suffering from severe athlete’s foot. I tried many products in my cupboard and from the chemist but it didn’t seem to be getting any better. As a last resort I was about to take him to the doctors for something stronger when my son reminded me that on his last trip to Ghana he had been treated with Shea Butter. We rummaged through our draws and found a little pot that his Grandma had given him and we tried it again. We smothered his feet in Shea Butter and wrapped them in cotton socks and repeated this over the next few days.

Each day there was an improvement and by the 4th day I was absolutely thrilled yet amazed that the skin on his feet was not just free of athletes foot, but smooth and squishy just like they were when he was a baby.

How delighted was I?

Realising my son had brought something very magical into our medicine cupboard I tried to make sense of what had happened and how I could possibly use the qualities of Shea Butter to improve the healing process of skin problems.

After some research I became aware that many high street stores already use this ingredient and that it was in fact very well known. But I also learned that ALL SHEA BUTTER PRODUCTS ARE NOT EQUAL! In fact most commercially available Shea Butter products contain less than 10% of actual Shea Butter and therefore lack the vital healing qualities needed to provide true therapeutic benefits; Why? High street products have been produced using a chemical process by way of bleaching and neutralizing with toxic lye and extreme overheating.
